I love Cross-country skiing!!

Wow, wow, wow, is all I can say. No, actually, I can say lots more than that: It was amazing!! I have been missing out all these years. Can't believe I have lived here almost nine years and this was the first time I really went skiing. I have gone for a few minutes on the road where I live, but this was a real trail, amazing open spaces of nothing but snow and a few trees. Beautiful!! Had a wonderful time getting to know my friend a little better, because we were out for 3 hours and just talked and skied, talked and skied. I could have gone all day,but I felt a blister forming at the back of my foot and I got hungry so we went back to the car. Drove around and admired some log homes in the area and stopped for a snack at a general store out East End. We are definitely doing this again, soon I hope. It would be best if we got some fresh snow, because plowing down the hills was hard and I probably fell at least 15 times. I am sure I'll have lots of pretty bruises as trophies. Falling on powder sounds a lot more pleasant, I think...
Went to a meeting tonight where there were lots of women just like myself, about to divorce, divorced or seperated, basically in transition. All I can say is that I am grateful we never had children. Listening to all these women trying to do what is best for their children, it must be so tough. This will all soon be behind me. It's been two years since we seperated and the divorce is almost done. A few more weeks.
Didn't go to hockey tonight, my legs were too wobbly after the morning activity, and all that wonderful fresh air made me tired.
