Today is Troy's first birthday and I miss him very much. I drove to Paia and over to Maalaea to see Garett. The boat looks really good, it is getting the proper care, finally. They are taking the boat on a daytrip on Friday to see how it runs before leaving for Honolulu on Sunday night. I am staying with my friends in Paia for now and tomorrow I have to return the rental car... It was great while it lasted.
The weather was warm and sunny and I am hoping I can get a couple hours of sun tomorrow. The locals were saying it was a little chilly tonight, but to me it was still very comfortable. I remember getting cold during the winter months when I lived here.
Tonight an old friend from the past stopped by the house and hung out, Joel . It was good to see a familiar face from the past. He lives on the Big Island now, but came over to work for a few days. We watched a little bit of Am. idol and it was pretty funny as usual. It is after midnight and I need my "beauty sleep". Goodnight.
