(Friday, April 19, 2008)Got up early, drove to Whittier about 1 hour from Anchorage, backtracking south where we came from yesterday. We got there about 10 a.m. and there was only 2 vehicles left on the ferry, one of them mine. The drive to Anchorage went well, I could keep up with the rest of the traffic on the road, wasn't sure how slow I would be going with my heavy load, but it went great. Well, almost...
I had known for awhile that I needed a new clutch and had made an appointment to have it worked on this afternoon, but as I pulled into Anchorage, by the second exit, I started having some problems with my gears and had to pull over. Got a tow truck to drop it off at the shop a little earlier than expected but oh well, I am just thankful we made to town...
