Roadtrip...

Homer Spit
to the right

(Tuesday, April 22, 2008)

I was so excited when the mechanic called me twenty minutes before the noon deadline and told me the truck was ready. Took her for a test drive and she drove so nice... An hour later she was gased up and insured and I headed South. I was nervous anything else going wrong with her because she is so old, 76', but it was a great drive. Took me about four hours, which isn't bad at all. I drove straight to a storage unit and off loaded everything. It felt good to be home again. I miss Yakutat, but Homer is starting to feel like home all ready. Took lots of pictures during my drive and I wish I could put all of them up but I'll pick some of the nicest ones. The scenery is so breathtaking, I never get tired of looking at the mountains.

Troy probably didn't miss me at all, he is having so much fun running around and playing with his friend Whittaker, a golden retriever, but I was very happy to see him.

Tomorrow, my job hunt continues.

Alaska is so beautiful... I want to move up there so bad. It's awesome. Lucky.
